Our Veterans answered the call - Now it's our turn to show support. The Western New Jersey Democratic Community Service Team will be collecting items for the Lyons Veterans Hospital which is located in Bernards, NJ. Items being collected will be made through donations made by the community.
Collection centers are being set up on September 2nd and September 9th from 11am - 2pm at the Clinton Book Shop, located at 12 E Main Street, Clinton, NJ.
On hand to help with the collection efforts will be LD23 State Candidates Christine Chen and Charles Boddy. Chen is running for State Senate, while Boddy is running for General Assembly. Paige Livingston, Candidate for Hunterdon County Freeholder, will also be on hand to help with the collection efforts as well as local municipal candidates. In addition, Lisa Mandelblatt, who will be looking to run against Leonard Lance in 2018 will be in attendance September 9th.
Much needed items for the Veterans include clothing, shoes, coats, personal hygiene supplies, palliative care supplies for family members staying overnight, art supplies and Uber gift cards. We are asking that items being donated are new.
