Arlene Quinones Perez Re-elected to Serve as Hunterdon County Democratic Chair

On Tuesday, June 12th, at the Stangl Factory in Flemington, NJ,  Arlene Quinones Perez was re-elected to serve as Chair of the Hunterdon County Democratic Party.  Democratic County Committee representatives, who themselves were voted into office in the June 5th primary, cast a unanimous vote in favor of the Chairwoman and her fellow officers.  The election of officers also included Alan Harwick - Vice Chair, Helen Richard - Secretary and Eric Richard -Treasurer. 

In addition to the officers, additional members of the Executive Committee were also elected to serve under Chairwoman Perez. Both the Party Officers and Executive Committee members will serve the Party for a two year term (2018-2020). The Executive Committee members include Clinton Mayor Janice Kovach, Frenchtown Borough Councilwoman Michele Liebtag, Marianne Rampulla, Marvin Fields, Marlene Miller, Tim Korzun and Lois Zarish.    Members appointed by the Chairwoman include Michael Drulis, Harrison Gerdes, Lauren Grober, Laura Shaw and Dorothy Dawood.  

New Jersey State Committee representative Bill Courtney presided over the election of officers.  Courtney, along with Sharon Ransavage and Karen Becker, also State Committee representatives, will continue to serve on the Executive Committee. The three took office in the June 2017 Primary and hold a four year term.  

The highlight of the evening took place when Lois Zarish was presented with an award for Outstanding Service and Dedication to the Hunterdon County Democratic Party.  Ms. Zarish has been involved with the Democratic Party since 1968 and has served as the County Chair and the Executive Director.  In addition to serving on the County Executive Committee, Ms. Zarish is the Raritan Township Municipal Chair and the Corresponding Secretary for the Raritan Township Democratic Club.
