The list was determined by interviews with key people in all sectors of the economy, as well as the judgment of the ROI-NJ Editorial Board.

The HCDC would like to congratulate our Chairwoman Arlene Perez for being recognized as a ROI People of Color Influencer.   Arlene has been praised for bringing a new voice to the Democratic Party, particularly in Hunterdon County where it has been a Republican All-Boys Club.

In addition to our Chairwoman, other notable Democrats that were named as the State’s Top Influencers include Hunterdon County resident Patricia Campos-Medina. Patricia has been a great supporter of the HCDC and has previously served on the HCDC Executive Board.  NJDSC Vice Chair Lizette Delgado, Congressman Elect Andy Kim, Senator Bob Menendez and former Assemblyman Updendra Chivukula also made the list.

Notable Democrats named to the Top Ten List of Influential People of Color include: Ras Baraka, (Mayor, City of Newark), State Attorney General Gurbir Grewal, Lieutenant Governor Sheila Oliver and Senator Cory Booker.

The HCDC congratulates all those who made the list and we thank the honorees for their contributions they have made to the great state of New Jersey.
