The Princeton Democratic Organization will be joined by special guest David Pepper, author of Laboratories of Autocracy: a Wake-Up Call from Behind the Lines and Saving Democracy: A User's Manual for Every American, which will be on sale at the event. Pepper is a lawyer and adjunct law professor, former elected official, and Chair of the Ohio Democratic Party between 2015 and 2021. He has written and lectured widely on the importance of the nations' statehouses to preserving democracy in America. Our speaker will be introduced by Senator Andrew Zwicker and the event will be moderated by Professor Keena Lipsitz, a political scientist and expert on American elections (and Co-Chair of the PCDO Election Committee).
This event is cosponsored by: Princeton University Campus Democrats; Montgomery Democratic Organization; South Brunswick Democrats; Mercer County Democratic Committee, Hunterdon County Democratic Committee; and Central Jersey Progressive Coalition.
As we work hard to elect Democratic candidates on November 7, and especially to defend the Democratic majority in New Jersey's Statehouse by electing our slate in Legislative District 16, we hope this event will offer some additional inspiration and a chance to recharge with the PCDO and co-sponsors.
