The original crusaders of softball athletes playing for our local pantries, Milford and Frenchtown, will be competing on May 4, 2019 against Holland and Alexandria at Riegel Ridge Community Center in Holland Township. In the past five years, they have already collected over a ton of food for pantries, raised awareness of food insecurity needs for the 8,000 in Hunterdon County, and just this March, inspired the opening of a second pantry in Milford, NJ.
As the tournament expands, they hope to unite “Hunterdon against Hunger” with a strong message to “Send hunger to the bench”.
