Four Options for Returning Your Ballot

  1. Board of Elections in Flemington: Ballots can be returned to the Board of Elections, 71 Main Street, Flemington anytime up until 8:00 pm on Election Day.  Any ballot being returned on behalf of another voter must have the ‘BEARER’ section filled out on the outer envelope with the name and address of the person delivering the ballot(s). Anyone bringing a ballot into the Board of Elections will be asked for ID.
    • Voters may return their OWN ballot.
    • Voters may return up to 3 ADDITIONAL ballots. 
    • Voters may return up to 5 additional ballots for family members in the same household.
  2. Ballot Drop Boxes: Voters may drop their OWN ballot in any one of 12 ballot DROP BOXES in Hunterdon County (see below).  They may also return ballots of other Hunterdon County residents, according to the criteria above for delivering a ballot to the Board of Elections.
  3. Mail by USPS: Voters may mail their OWN ballot by the United States Postal Service.  There will be a postage paid return envelope with your ballot.  If you will be mailing your ballot plan to do so by October 20.

Voters will receive a letter with their polling location and drop box locations.  You can also go to nj.gov/state/elections/ to get drop box and polling locations.

Voting at a Polling Site will be Limited

  • Voting at the polling place will be by provisional ballot only except for those with disabilities requiring a machine vote.
  • In Hunterdon, there will be one polling place per municipality and some polling locations have been changed for this election.  Voters will receive a letter with their polling location prior to Election Day.  You can also go to nj.gov/state/elections/ to get your polling location.
  • Ballots may be dropped off at designated polling locations.
  • Schools are closed on November 3 to allow use as a polling place.
